The Oniru of Iru Kingdom, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, has been celebrated as a monarch with exceptional wisdom, grace and vision by the incoming Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), on his birthday.
Oba Oniru celebrates his 55th birthday anniversary today.
Aroyewun, in a statement, acknowledged the worthy record of the monarch as a former public officer and the indelible marks that he left on the state.

“On this very special occasion, I join family, friends and well-wishers across the globe in celebrating a monarch of exceptional wisdom, grace and visionary leadership, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan Lawal, Abisogun II, the Oniru of Iru Land.
“Kabiyesi, as I celebrate you on this auspicious occasion, I am reminded of your exceptional public service records spanning decades of dedication to sustainable development, your visionary policies and hands-on approach have left indelible marks on Lagos State, shaping the growth of our dear state into a model of excellence.

The incoming council administrator who described the revered monarch as father, also commended his developmental strides in his kingdom, since mounting the throne of his ancestors.
“Since ascending the revered throne as the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, you have seamlessly blended tradition with innovation, fostering unity, economic empowerment, and infrastructural advancement in your domain. I make bold to say that, under your reign, Iru Kingdom has witnessed unprecedented progress, attracting investments while preserving its hallowed cultural heritage.

“As you celebrate this milestone, I pray that Almighty God grants you many more years in robust health, divine wisdom and enduring grace to continue your noble service to humanity. May your reign bring even greater prosperity to your Kingdom and Lagos State at large.
